We've poured our heart and soul into restoring this iconic space, featuring stunning tables handcrafted from trees felled during storms right on our premises. Renowned throughout Ireland for serving arguably the finest pints of Guinness, we invite you to savor this unparalleled experience within our atmospheric surroundings. Raise a glass to a piece of history

The Waterfall

The famous Poulaphouca Waterfall world-renowned thanks to being immortalised in James Joyce's classic, Ulysses, as the protagonist Leopold Bloom, hallucinates the waterfall as a speaking character in the chapter "Circe". Both Poulaphouca and a second bridge, crossing a dry gorge 150m to the southwest also on our lands were designed by Alexander Nimmo in Gothic style and built between 1822 and 1827 with the awesome drop of over 150 feet. We have meticulously restored the historic path to the waterfall and you can now access this little piece of ancient history that is rediscovered for the first time for the perfect Wedding photos and special moments hidden away in nature.
